WEEKEND 1: (Friday night / Saturday all day)   FOLLOWING JESUS INTO THE RIVER

ENCOUNTER

Session 1:

Encountering God in the river

  • Surrendering our lives to Jesus

  • Hearing the voice of the Father

  • Becoming a landing place for the Holy Spirit

In this session, we will look at Jesus' baptism and end with a time of ministry and personal response 

Session 2:

Underground

This session will take place in an underground venue (old wine cellar, air-raid shelter, church crypt...). Jesus went underground for us. What does it mean for us to go underground for him - dying to ourselves and becoming alive in Christ

Session 3:

Resurrection life

In this session, we will explore the life of Elisha. If Elijah is a type of Christ, then Elisha is a type of the church living in the power of his resurrection

ENGAGE

Session 4:

The river that runs through your city

This session will include a brief overview of the history of the city (where the city has drawn its life from), followed by a prayer walk along the river. 

Session 5:

Rooftop

In this session, we will look at Peter's rooftop experience and explore what it means to join Jesus in his mission instead of asking him to join us in our mission. This session will include walking out onto a rooftop to look over the city and see it through Jesus' eyes

WEEKEND 2: (Friday night / Saturday all day)   YOUR FATHER INVITES YOU TO A BANQUET

ENCOUNTER

Session 1:

The Father's Banquet

We will enjoy a banquet together and reflect on the significance of what it means to be invited to take our place at our Father's banqueting table.

Session 2:

Having a fresh encounter of the Father's love

In this session, we will explore how amazing our heavenly Father is by looking at the story of the Prodigal Son in Luke 15. This session will end with a time of ministry and response

Session 3:

Hindrances to knowing God as Father

In this session we will explore some of the hindrances to knowing God as Father. This session will end with an opportunity to receive prayer.

Session 4:

Taking the love of the Father to the lost

This session is a practical session where we will be demonstrating the love of the Father in the community

Session 5:

Who should have gone?

In Luke 15 Jesus tells 3 stories - 1) A shepherd searches for a lost sheep: 2) A woman searches for a lost coin: 3) no one goes in search for a lost son! We will explore who should have gone, and why.

WEEKEND 3: (Friday night / Saturday all day)   BECOMING A LANDING PLACE FOR THE HOLY SPIRIT

ENCOUNTER

Session 1: Being filled with the Holy Spirit

In this session, we will look at being filled with the Holy Spirit. The session will end with an opportunity to be prayed for to be filled/refilled with the Holy Spirit

Session 2:

The gifts of the Holy Spirit

This will be a practical workshop on using gifts of the Holy Spirit. We will be specifically looking at prophecy, healing and words of knowledge

Session 3:

Demonstrating the power of the Holy Spirit in the community

This is a practical session where we will be stepping out in faith and putting into practice what we have learnt

EXPAND

Session 6:

The ROBE, the RING & the SHOES

In this session, we will look at the significance of the robe, ring and shoes that the father gave to his son when he returned home, (Luke 15:22).

Session 7:

To the ends of the earth

God's kingdom is like a river that flows free. It cannot be contained or controlled. What does it mean for God's river to flow out of this city to other places around the world.
